Bells Hopslam: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Bell's Hopslam Beer and glass

I know that it is Summer time, at least here in the United States but last night I found a beer that is rated one of the top 10 beers in the United States by Rate Beer. The beer is called Bells Hopslam brewed by Bell's Brewery and is only brewed during the winter season.  Bell's Brewery makes a couple of beers that are available all year round but many of the beers they brew are seasonal, and for every 1000 successful batches of beer Bell's Brewery releases a special one time Millennial beer. Bells Hopslam is an American style double imperial IPA packed with a 10% ABV and like i said before is only served during the winter, just in time to get warmed up. The pour from this IPA is a little thick and is a hazy orange, copper color with a small white head. You can smell the fruity sweet hops as you crack off the top, with sweet pine, citrus pineapple, and caramel malt balance. With The Bells Hopslam you can only imagine what kind of force the hops hit you with up front when you take your first sip.
The Pine and Citrus hit you hard but you have the delicious sweet honey flavor that keeps you on your feet, well until you have had a couple of these bad boys. The mouthful is thick and sweet and the hops will stay around for a while after you are done which, if you love your hops you will have a perfect match. Bells Hopslam can be found in 17 States across the country, most of which are in the mid-west. I know most of us don't want summer to go away, well unless you live in the desert but needless to say when winter time does come along cozy up and grab yourself a Bells Hopslam IPA.
